Job Title: Parking Lead
Department: Parking

Status: Seasonal FT

Reporting To: Parking Manager

Position Overview:

Lead a team that welcomes our guests to the resort safely with a smile. Facilitate efficient entry and exit to parking areas at Powder Mountain. Maximize utilization of available parking spaces by guiding every vehicle to a space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor parking attendant staff
• Assist in daily scheduling location of staff to align with business volumes
• Offer training on how to design vehicle flow
• Be a source of knowledge for parking attendant staff.
• Acknowledge every vehicle arriving or leaving the resort with a wave
• Greet and welcome guests as they exit their vehicle
• Evaluate parking to ensure optimal utilization of area and maintain safety of all guests
• Direct and control traffic flow into, through and out of parking spaces and lots
• Clearly communicate using words and hand motions to safely direct vehicles
• Provide excellent guest service and knowledge of information in all aspects of Powder Mountain
• Daily setup and teardown of parking lot signs and cones.
• Maintain parking markers and directional wands/flags in good operating condition
• Enforcement of paid parking or other parking violations using handheld device
• Provide guests with a smooth and orderly parking experience
• Collects daily parking data and statistics through counting vehicles in lots
• Be punctual and ready to work at the start of all scheduled shifts
• Ensure compliance to all safety regulations and company policies and inform management in case of violations
• Snow shoveling and sanding walkways as needed
• Other duties as assigned in various mountain departments needing assistance

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

• 2+ Previous experience in parking lot direction or traffic control - required
• Professional experience working in a guest facing role - required
• Flexible schedule including days or nights
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends
• Have reliable transportation to and from the resort in all weather conditions
• Ability to clearly communicate in English
• 18+ year old.
• Basic knowledge of 2-way radio and mobile device use
• Valid driver’s license
• Satisfactory Driving Record
• Ability to clearly communicate in English

Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

• Full range of body movements
• Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (30+ pounds)
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
• Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
• Climb/descend stairs
• Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
• Safely handle hazardous materials

Working Environment:

Work is performed primarily outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment. Parking lot surfaces are compacted snow/ice and can become slippery.
