GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Parts Sales Representatives are primarily responsible for facilitating customer needs and requests in a way that is informative, productive, and efficient. Utilizing their knowledge of the parts they sell, they can greet customers, help them locate the parts they need, and educate them about part function. The function of the Part Sales Representative at Harris American is to interact with the company’s customer base via telephone and email to assist in the purchasing of parts for all of Harris American product line nationally.
Essential Functions:
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Provide telephone and email support to customers on the purchasing of Harris American equipment parts.
· Enter part sales into Harris American’ ERP system.
· Conduct follow-up conversations with customers on anticipated delivery time of parts orders and resolve any issues once the parts have been delivered.
Qualifications and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· High school or home school diploma or GED is required.
· Experience utilizing Epicor or another database lookup program is required.
· Experience using Microsoft 365 is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
The successful candidate should:
· Possess great telephone customer service support etiquette and be able to handle a variety of requests pertinent to parts sales and follow up on delivery of those parts.
· Have interpersonal skills.
· Be a self-starter and quick learner and be able to work with minimal supervision.
· Produce printed quotes for customers and provide them as an email to the customer.
· Possess some technical/mechanical aptitude.
· Use tactful skills in handling customer issues in a timely manner and assist with potential customer complaints as they arise.
· Have good computer keyboarding skills, as is wearing a headset to talk with customers while filling out information in online forms.
Education Requirements:
High school or home school diploma or GED is required.
