Part Time Accounting Clerk - Rewarding Work

A local payroll service provider is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper! As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for performing accounts receivable functions including deposits, collections, and revenue. This is a wonderful opportunity for a Candidate looking for a part-time opportunity!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintains and balances the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
• Reconciles sales tax, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month
• Performs accounts receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
• Handles payroll by utilizing accounting software Aage 50 (Peachtree)
• Enters data, maintains records, and creates reports and financial statements
• Completes filing, both hardcopy and electronic
• Works with Staff Accountants as needed
• Monitors financial transactions and reports

Who We’re Looking For

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Knowledge of bookkeeping software
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficient computer literacy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask successfully
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to work with highly confidential, sensitive documents and information while maintaining confidentiality

What You Can Expect

• $16.00 - $20.00/hr, based on experience
• Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Part-time, temporary assignment with an opportunity to be hired on for long-term employment
