Who You’ll Work With
- A government agency responsible for managing and maintaining state-owned buildings and properties in Texas, ensuring they meet the needs of state agencies and the public. They oversee the construction, renovation, leasing, and sale of state-owned facilities to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Major Duties
- Operating under limited supervision, you will exercise considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Performing administrative edits to data in charts, graphs, and databases, preparing summaries or reports, balancing checkbooks, and managing expense reporting in Excel.
- Implement administrative systems and procedures, interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and write and translate state policies and procedures, such as HR policies and best practices, into detailed steps.
- Play a crucial role in implementing a new financial system.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience working within the state sector is essential.
- Proficiency in paper and electronic filing systems.
- Demonstrated experience in writing state policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with state-specific jargon is highly desirable, making retired state administrators well-suited for this role.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal training.
Exciting Opportunity Details
- Rate: $34.00 per hour.
- Length of engagement: 3 months
- Days/Hours: Part Time Hours, 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday.
- Location: Onsite, Austin, TX (78701).
