Part-Time Mental Health Clinician (remote) - Positive Work Culture

A Part-Time Mental Health Clinician (remote) role based on out of Indiana is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor. Provide advanced level support including clinical and risk assessments for individuals who contact the Call Center. Perform functions in support of the unit's mission providing person centers, culturally competent, and consumer friendly services to individual who contact the Call Center.
This is an indefinite contract role starting in May 2024. This position is 100% remote, but you must reside in the State of Indiana ONLY. You will be required to work 2 days/week, anytime between 8:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday - you can pick the hours during that timeframe only. This position is paying $ 50.00.hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides oversight for the quality of contacts and customer service as the team leader for the shift during assigned hours.
Provides support, guidance and clinical consultation to subordinate staff and trainees in a helpful and professional manner.
Monitors volume and agent availability to ensure that service requests and inquiries are handled in a timely manner and in accordance with policy.
Assumes overall responsibility for crisis calls/contacts that occur during assigned shift, which may include speaking to the caller or individual at risk or assisting the staff member who is responding to the contact.
Assures daily shift reports and hands off communications with details about the cases needing follow up is completed.
Demonstrates the ability to secure cooperation and teamwork among staff and re-focus staff efforts when needed.
Assures that all scheduled follow-up contacts are completed.
Reviews subordinates' documentation of contacts during shift for completion and accuracy.
Demonstrates leadership and initiative in support of the overall unit mission. Provides input for policies and goal setting for the unit, contributes to staff training and development and gives constructive feedback to Unit supervisors and administrators consistent with areas of expertise.
Interacts with all individuals who contact the Call Center in a "customer friendly" manner, taking initiative in engaging individuals in a tactful manner and communicating in an empathic and concerned fashion.
Promptly responds to service requests from individuals or family members and contacts with professionals, outside agencies and other parties in a professional, courteous and helpful fashion.
Responds with sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic issues of individuals served.
Takes initiative to identify the individual's service needs, using language and tone with respect for the individual and responds by making
Identifies appropriate resources for individuals served based on assessed needs in accordance with professionally accepted standards.

c. Collaborates respectfully and effectively with individuals served and if indicated, families and significant others to formulate a crisis/safety plan and/or a plan for disposition.
d. Follows UBHC policies and legal and ethical guidelines in the reporting of abuse and neglect and situations of impending danger to the appropriate persons and/or agencies as indicated by supervisor's direction, observation and review of records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in mental health discipline plus two (2) years post-master's experience in the mental health field, or Doctorate.
Must be IT/Computer savvy.

Credential Required: Indiana license or permit as required by discipline. Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active Indiana certification/licensure as required by the Indiana Board of Social Work Examiners.
Primary Source Verification: Indiana Division of Consumer Affairs and University approved verification service.

Pay Details: $50.00 per hour
