Job Description - Part-Time Project PR & Engagement Manager

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Project PR and Engagement Manager to join our Costa Mesa office on a

part-time

basis.

As part of the Southern California offices, the Project PR & Engagement Manager will plan, develop, and implement all of the project marketing, communications and public relations activities. They will supervise teams of outreach coordinators, develop new programs, and coordinate service delivery with various agencies. This position will need to have experience collaborating with community organizations and professionals and creating educational materials for community agencies and governments.

Duties and responsibilities:

Leads innovative marketing programs efforts for many successful transit programs that resulted in public support and increased ridership
Harnesses creativity to craft impactful promotional strategies aimed at boosting adoption of alternative transportation modes. Spreads awareness and makes a difference in the way people travel
Dives deep into market trends, translating raw data into meaningful insights. Leverages these insights to develop strategic plans aimed at capturing the attention of the target audience
Assist in winning a variety of transportation projects up to $80M+
Evaluates and recommends appropriate action regarding proposals based on both qualitative and quantitative research. Complies summary of results and action plan
Obtains public and stakeholder support so that projects can advance beyond the Tier 2 environmental phase
Leads the campaigns on projects to obtain or increase ridership
May have some supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field; required
10 or more years of demonstrated experience in project specific PR and public relations; required
10 or more years of experience managing PR projects and leading cross-functional teams in a matrix, partnership (teaming or joint venture) environment; required
Experience with project PR and engagement on Transportation projects (rail, highway, multimodal) in Southern California; required
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Availability and willingness to travel
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:
$108 to $132 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market.
Working conditions:
This job operates in a office setting.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical requirements:
Majority of work is office based. Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interacting with clients, and travel occasionally.
