The Partner Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the compliance of Partners with food safety, operational, programmatic, and civil rights standards. This role is critical in maintaining program integrity, fostering strong partner relationships, and supporting the overall mission to end hunger in the community. By ensuring adherence to these standards, this position helps ensure that neighbors have access to safe, nourishing food in a dignified and equitable environment.
Requirements
Partner Compliance Monitoring
Conduct site visits to assess partner compliance with policies and procedures, including food safety, reporting, and program agreements.
Maintain partner files and ensure they are audit-ready, including documentation such as 501(c)(3) status, liability insurance, and compliance certifications.
Monitor partner adherence to The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), Feeding America, and other regulatory requirements, addressing gaps with corrective action plans.
Partner Support
Guide partners through onboarding, including application review, documentation collection, and pre-operational visits.
Train partners on compliance standards, food safety, and reporting requirements through virtual and in-person sessions.
Provide timely responses to partner inquiries and address compliance-related challenges.
Provide real-time compliance support, assisting partners with urgent regulatory concerns, documentation needs, and corrective actions
Partner Reporting and Documentation
Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly partner reports.
Prepare compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Keep inventory management systems and partner directories updated with current contact information, hours, and compliance status.
Partner Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with internal teams to align compliance efforts with capacity-building and partner development initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend updates to policies and training materials.
Support special projects and initiatives related to compliance and agency services.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
Regular driving throughout Clark County and occasional driving in the rural areas such as Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda counties to visit Partner locations
Extended periods of sitting while using a computer or phone.
Work in offices, warehouses, and outdoor settings like parking lots, occasionally exposed to the elements, supporting mobile and fixed food distributions.
Evening or weekend hours may be required.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in compliance, policy adherence, or regulatory oversight in any industry.
Language (preferred): Bilingual in English and one of the following: Spanish or Tagalog.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records and meet deadlines.
Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance standards.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with diverse Partners.
Ability to conduct training sessions and present information effectively.
Strong time-management abilities.
Other:
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance for business use.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Additional Skills & Abilities:
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to large groups and responding to feedback.
Leadership: Able to guide partners and internal teams on compliance with requirements, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations
Resource Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
