POSITION SUMMARY
The Partner Development Liaison I – Northern Nevada position will support the mission, goals and
strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network Inc. (NDN) by supporting the development, implementation,
maintenance, and evaluation of educational and development strategies designed to increase organ
and tissue donation. The Partner Development Liaison also serves to promote effective
communication with relevant stakeholders to facilitate donation including organizational clinical
staff, funeral homes, hospices, law enforcement agencies, emergency medical services agencies,
medical examiner offices, and hospitals to include but not limited to relationship development,
donation and referral educations, collaborative community events, and regular maintenance of
established relationships and programs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s):
• Responds to the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office as scheduled.
o Completes all relevant information in iTransplant on coroner referrals as well as add
additional referrals when applicable.
o Interacts and communicates with medical examiner staff to ensure donor information
is complete and accurate.
o Verifies all NDN forms and donor information is accurate and complete.
o Assures a daily request for medical examiner permissions on potential donors, relay
pre-exam recovery information to medical examiner staff, relay information and
updates regarding active organ donors under coroner jurisdiction and relay any NDN
needs to make donation possible.
o Ensures daily consistent communication to partner development liaison team,
Donation Services team, NDN clinical teams, and coroner/medical examiner teams.
o Secures admission blood with various hospital labs on high potential organ donors.
o Complies with appropriate safety precautions.
o Other duties as assigned.
• Coordinates donor case logistics as they relate to external partners.
• Assists in coordinating transportation to or from funeral home partners.
• Assists with maintaining and restocking OOH inventory items.
• Assists in supporting and maintaining partnerships with various referring partners including
but not limited to law enforcement agencies, emergency medical services, funeral homes,
and coroner/medical examiners, healthcare partners.
• Follows policies and procedures to ensure compliance with rules and regulations from
governing agencies regarding partnering organizations.
• Actively participates in meetings and required trainings.
• Adheres to regulations and policies of all partners.
• Maintains confidentiality related to donors, partner relations, and internal matters.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives, policy updates, and other intradepartmental
collaboratives.
• Maintains external partner relationships by learning and understanding organizational needs
and delivering excellent customer service.
• Trouble shoots and creates solutions for any issues that may arise for referrals.
• Utilizes critical thinking to help facilitate donation on cases with difficult logistics and time
restraints.
• Reports to manager on progress of assignments, cases, and partner updates.
• Participates in on call hours as assigned to navigate donor logistics involving partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Associate’s degree (preferred); relevant work experience may be substituted for
academic requirements
Experience: Relevant experience in forensics, healthcare, funeral home fields preferred.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office programs
Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
