Job Description - Parts Coordinator

Are you a self-motivated Parts Coordinator looking to advance your career?

If so, Kooner Fleet Management Solutions wants you to join our rapidly growing team! We are seeking a Parts Coordinator with 1-3 years of experience in automotive or heavy duty parts inventory and purchasing. The Parts Coordinator will work closely with the Fleet Manager and Lead Technician and will be responsible for managing parts and supplies at various repair yards within the San Bernardino and Perris, CA areas.

What the Parts Coordinator role looks like:  

  • Inventory Management: Maintaining inventory levels, conducting physical inventories, and ordering parts. 
  • Receiving: Parts runs to local vendors with company truck. Verifying parts shipments and inspecting parts for accuracy and damage.  
  • Stocking: Placing parts in assigned areas and keeping the parts department clean and organized. 
  • Customer Service: Assisting internal customers with parts inquiries by phone, email or in-person onsite. 
  • Vendor Relations: Developing and maintaining relationships with parts vendors. Ensuring invoices, shipment slips and other billing issues are handled promptly. 

  

What our ideal candidate looks like:  

  • 1-3 years of experience in auto parts purchasing, sales, or related field 
  • Experience with keeping inventory and inventory tracking systems 
  • Mechanic or auto parts experience is preferred 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel 
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail  
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track data in a clear and concise manner 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Ability to perform light to medium lifting as necessary
