Parts Counter Associate

 Team member role: Parts SpecialistReports to: Assistant Parts Manager, Parts ManagerEssential Duties:

• Act in accordance with MMT’s 4 C’s
• Always look and act in a professional manner
• Assist all Advisors, Technicians, Wholesale Customer, and Retail customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Provide high levels of service to all customers
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Ability to lift up to 50 Lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Order all needed replacement parts for service shop repairs
• Communicate clearly with techs and advisors regarding needs and specifics of parts
• Work proficiently in online programs, including Dealer daily, TIS, Aftermarket online parts sources, and Reynolds
• Maintain a high level of knowledge for Toyota parts  
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources or other Toyota dealerships and submit emergency order if necessary
• Follows up on and keeps track of all back-order parts
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on an invoice or a repair order
• Locate, pull and deliver parts to technicians as needed
• Maintain open invoices
• Locate parts removed from service repair orders
• When receiving special order double check that parts are correct
• Attention to detail is critical
• Assist in maintaining security on all customer information
• Maintain certification for handling of hazmat respective to position
• Keep current on new products and product updates
• Keep parts area clean and uncluttered 
• Other tasks as assigned

Language Skills Required:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small groups situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills Required:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability Required:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
