Job Description - Parts Counter Sales

Responsibilities:


The primary duties and responsibilities of the Inside Parts Sales are:



  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

  • Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.

  • Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.

  • Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.

  • Participate in all training programs that are made available.

  • Keep current on new products and product updates.

  • Participate in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.


Qualifications: 


The Inside Parts Sales requires a number of basic skills, including:



  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.

  • Must be self-motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must conduct oneself in a professional manner

  • Have the ability to work other shifts for coverage of sick days or vacation relief.


Elements that are preferred, but not required for the Inside Parts Sales, are:



  • Knowledge of parts.

  • Experience with Microsoft programs and applications currently in use at this location.

  • Sales experience.

  • Good Customer Service Skills.
