**Position Purpose:**
Assists internal and external customers with parts requests to ensure that the correct part is obtained the first time. This includes identifying correct parts and locating them in inventory or ordering the requested part. Assists in the operations of the Parts Department by maintaining and tracking the parts inventory and accessories.

* Greets all customers promptly, provides timely professional services.
* Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, asking questions to ensure understanding of needs, and supplying parts in a timely manner.
* Recommends related parts that are needed.
* Ensures necessary parts are available.
* Price out parts on invoice or repair order.
* Coordinates with Service Department, Sales Department, and others to ensure that parts requests are met.
* Identifies and supports opportunities for methods/process improvement in the Parts Department.

* Maintains positive working relationships with vendors.
* Informs customers when special order parts have arrived.
* Follows up with customer to ensure that their needs have been met.

**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:**
Education, training and/or state/national certifications should clearly demonstrate the
possession of the knowledge and skills stated above.
* High School degree or equivalent preferred
* 1 year in an automotive parts environment preferred
**EXPERIENCE**
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
* Moving throughout the Parts Department
* Using computer to look up information and write up orders
* Standing six to eight hours during a shift
* Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing
* Must be able to regularly lift and exert up to 50 pounds of force in order to carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
* Using equipment consistent with industry standards
* Must have a valid Texas Drivers License, be insurable, and be able to drive

**WORKING CONDITIONS:**
**USUAL HOURS OF WORK**
Monday

Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Note: Break and lunch periods will be scheduled by supervisor based on work flow
