Automotive Parts Manager

Johnson Motors is looking for a driven motivated individual to join our revenue driving sales force. This position will oversee the parts department in our service area. If you are a hard-working individual that wants to be rewarded for the hard work that you do, this opportunity is for you! 

Parts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assist Parts Consultants with various requests and requirements 
  • Provide accurate parts quotes in a timely and efficient manner 
  • Manage employee scheduling and timecard approvals 
  • Reconcile warranty parts for disposal monthly 
  • Bill and receive parts
  • Submit claims to Ford for incorrect parts or part quantities and monitor claim status for approval 
  • Provide accurate and timely accessory quotes to the Sales department 
  • Update BDC worksheet on fulfilled orders so they can contact customers and get vehicle repairs scheduled
  • Monitor Parts email inbox
  • Order, process and receive parts/supplies for reconditioning department
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself / herself to guaranteeing satisfaction of customers.
  • Establish parts sales goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Present a helpful and positive attitude towards assisting customers with their parts needs.
  • Have a functional knowledge of vehicles, their mechanical operation & parts.
  • Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.
  • Will stay current on all inventory levels, ensuring the right part is available for every customer, every time.

Requirements

Parts Consultant Qualifications:

  • Prior management experience preferred. 
  • Highly motivated individual driven to succeed.
  • Previous automotive parts experience preferred.
  • Great people/communication skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Driven and determined to successfully compete in today’s marketplace.
  • Persons of character and integrity.
  • Strong desire to excel.
