The Role
The Parts Manager oversees inventory management, procurement, and distribution of aircraft parts and materials for our aviation maintenance operations.
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, this role ensures timely availability of high-quality parts to support fleet reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced charter environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Oversight: Manage MRP/ERP systems for cycle counts, stock optimization, demand forecasting via maintenance/utilization data, and storage/rotation to avoid obsolescence.
Cost Control: Analyze data to cut expedites, monitor budgets, spot savings, and report KPIs like inventory turns, fill rates, and total ownership costs.
Compliance Assurance: Uphold FAA/EASA standards (14 CFR Part 145, traceability), audit shelf-life/AD records, handle hazmat, prep for inspections; maintain digital/paper records for FAA audits, ensuring 8130-3 Block 13 eligibility statements.
Qualifications
5+ years in aviation parts management or supply chain, with A&P license or aviation maintenance experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (e.g., 14 CFR Part 145), aircraft types (e.g., Citations, Challengers), and inventory software (e.g., AMOS, SAP).
Experience with charter fleets or MRO facilities.
Key Competencies
Proven negotiation skills, analytical mindset for cost control, and ability to thrive in dynamic, 4/10 operations.
Excellent communication for cross-team coordination and problem-solving under pressure.
