Job Description - Parts Manager



We are currently seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead and oversee our growing team at Kia and Nissan of Old Saybrook. Responsibilities




  • Enforces strict adherence to established work schedules and company policies related to attendance, punctuality, and reporting standards




  • Develops, implements, and monitors departmental goals and performance objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business targets




  • Leads all aspects of talent management within the Parts Department, including recruitment, on boarding, training, performance evaluation, and employee development




  • Delivers a high standard of customer service by engaging with customers in a professional, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented manner




  • Directs and oversees collision parts inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, organization, and availability




  • Establishes and maintains efficient inventory control processes, ensuring all incoming parts are received, verified, and stocked in designated locations promptly




  • Maintains optimal inventory levels to support operational demands while minimizing excess or obsolete stock




  • Ensures accurate and consistent pricing of parts and accessories using approved systems, maintaining data integrity across all platforms




  • Promotes and enforces compliance with all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements




Qualifications




  • Preferred: Minimum of two years of progressive experience in automotive parts management




  • Preferred: Two or more years of experience within a dealership environment




  • Preferred: Proficiency with CDK or similar dealership management systems




  • Preferred: Prior experience managing collision parts inventory




  • Exceptional customer service skills with a polished and professional demeanor




  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to operational excellence




  • Ability to thrive in a structured, process-oriented work environment




  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or industry certifications a plus
