General Description of Position: Assist with general mechanic shop support and parts pickups and returns. Other duties as assigned by the equipment manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensure that mechanics shop is adequately equipped with daily supplies.


• Assist with shop housekeeping and organization of tools and supplies.


• Assist with upkeep of fleet vehicle routine maintenance, license and registration, proof of insurance cards, first aid kits, etc.


• Cleaning and washing of equipment as needed by the equipment manager.


• Some minor shop repair assistance as deemed necessary by the equipment manager.


• Some administrative tasks and errands as deemed necessary by the equipment manager.
  

KSA’s

• Construction experience preferred


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals


• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence


• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization


• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our detailed written or oral instructions


• Ability to properly use/operate hand tools


• Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  

Preferred Qualifications: Must have a current valid driver's license and have a safe driving record.

Education, Experience, and Training: May be asked to move, load, or start large pieces of equipment.
