Job Description: Parts-Inside/Counter Sales

Job Summary: The primary function of the Parts Operation Coordinator is to assist customers in finding the appropriate parts for their truck both in person and on the telephone.  Work with customers, mechanics, and peers to find accessories and order parts for vehicle repairs and upgrades. Assist in stocking and organizing the showroom floor as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers he/she comes in contact with, and offer to assist.
2. Answer the telephone within 3 rings or less with the proper greeting and offer to assist the customer with the inquiry. 
3. Suggest additional products and/or services to repair the problem and meet the customer’s needs.
4. When working the parts counter, follow the dealership's prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures.
5. Process core warranties. 
6. Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to the Parts Manager.
7. Should be knowledgeable in product merchandising.
8. Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description.
9. Provides service technicians with parts as required.
10. Maintains the retail sales floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealership's standards.
11. Performs other tasks as required by the Parts Manager.

Sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard departmental equipment, for example, operate a PC, pallet jack, forklift, etc. 

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and walk for long distances.
