Parts Specialist – Power Generation

Location: Ridgefield, WA | Schedule: Full-Time | On-Call Rotation Required

As a Parts Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive the right parts to maintain and repair diesel and gaseous generators, transfer switches, switchgear, and related power systems.

What You’ll Do

• Assist customers with parts inquiries via walk-ins, phone, and email.
• Research and provide estimates, availability, and technical information using electronic and paper parts catalogs.
• Accurately enter orders into internal and external systems while verifying all details.
• Utilize online tools to research technical information across various power generation product lines.
• Make parts recommendations based on product knowledge and customer needs.
• Support the service department by processing internal product price and availability requests.
• Monitor and manage backorders, ensuring timely receipt and distribution.
• Maintain and update the Active Log application throughout the day.
• Assist with warehouse functions as needed, including pulling urgent stock items and conducting cycle counts.
• Participate in on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
• Continuously seek training opportunities to expand your knowledge and expertise in power generation systems.

What You Bring

• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Understanding of power generation systems, including diesel and gaseous engines, transfer switches, and switchgear.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and online vendor tools.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of parts experience in power generation (preferred).
• Familiarity with diesel and gaseous generator components (preferred).

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours travel.
