Parts Specialist

Job Description:

Helios Commercial Service Partners is hiring a Parts Specialist! The Parts Team Members work to ensure accurate pricing and appropriate lead-times for jobs by gathering information from suppliers and job costing. Possess strong numerical skills and has an analytical mindset. Will order material for jobs using the current ERP system, to ensure all orders are placed daily. Would work to ensure all warranty orders and processed and the needed material is returned to ensure full credit is received. The Parts Team Member will report to the Parts Supervisor while working under the Regional Operations Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure all daily orders are completed and “Waiting on Materials” jobs have been updated.


• Verify orders are priced according to industry standards and are competitive while maximizing profits.


• Follow-up on order delays looking for alternate options, ensuring all order ETA are less than 48 hours.


• Works together with regional team to ensure orders and communication are up to company standards.


• Ensure all warranty material is notated and work with dispatch team to return needed materials to the appropriate suppliers.


• Provide ordering trends to Parts Supervisor and reach out to Regional Operations Manager when stocked parts are requested.


• Verity PO’s and material costs when ordering materials, ensuring the order form filled out.


• Other Duties as assigned.

• Ability to multitask to meet deadlines


• Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and external customers through multiple means


• Ability to identify problems and offer solutions or courses of actions based on available resources


• Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames


• Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing


• Having functional competence and a basic understanding of HVAC/R equipment


• Familiarity with HVAC/R suppliers and manufacturers

Helios' compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $18/hour in our lowest geographic market up to $22/hour in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
