Job Summary:
The Pasteurizer/ Milk Receiver is responsible for learning and covering multiple position, as necessary. The responsibilities include and are not limited to sampling incoming milk, unloading incoming tankers, cleaning tankers, loading out milk, learning all required connections, pasteurizing and/ or processing milk on the High Temperature Short Times, and properly processing/ cleaning/ sanitizing all assigned equipment. This position will require doing bulk loadouts on tankers of both pasteurized and heat-treated products. The position is a responsible for product quality, food safety and product specifications, efficient operation of department. This position requires an employee who is motivated, a self-starter, a team player, and who works well both independently.
Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications:
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· High school graduate or equivalent required.
· 2+ years of equivalent experience, specifically food industry and manufacturing facility, preferred.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended hours.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.
· Must be able to work in a wet environment.
· Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.
· Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
· Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.
· Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
