Who are we looking for?

Wilson Farm is hiring a full-time Pastry & Cake Decorator to join our award-winning bakery department. This position starts at $20.00/hour.

Primary Responsibilities for a Pastry & Cake Decorator

· Perform all duties relating to cake, cookies, tart, pastry, and special-order decoration. Create appealing designs on all specialty bakery goods

· Assist with the production of bakery products (including cookies, cupcakes, bars, etc.)

· Answering phones/placing calls to take specialty cake orders in order to dynamically sell products and provide accurate, detailed information to meet/exceed the customer’s expectations

· Customer service, problem-solving/resolution, and escalation as needed

Experience/Qualifications needed

· 6-12 months experience in pastry and cake decorating with good decorating skills

· Proficient in working with buttercream, fondant, royal icing, etc.; able to frost, skim, and fill cakes

· Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to customers

· Candidate must be detail-oriented, have pride in finished work, an excellent work ethic, an enthusiastic, positive attitude, reliable, excellent communication skills

Work Schedule

· Full-time (40+ hours/week), in-person work at Lexington location

· Will be a mix of weekdays, weekend, and holiday days

· Holiday periods may require more hours and flexibility in schedule to meet business needs

Physical Requirements

· Standing/bending/reaching for periods of time

· Must be able to frequently lift/move totes or boxes of products
