Pastry Cook

Description

 Our Club has a Full Time Pastry Cook position available. The Pastry Cook is responsible for the production of various types of basic dough, scooping ice cream and cookies as well as, setting up and breaking down the a la carte line. May assist in overall bakery production and may serve as relief for the Baker position.

The ideal candidates for these positions are self-motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for providing members an exceptional experience. Responsibilities:

• A true desire to serve others and a commitment to providing high quality Member and Guest service.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail
• Team player able to diplomatically foster relationships with Members, Employees and Guests
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with high member interaction
• Working knowledge of Jonas POS software, TABC certified (Serve Safe certification helpful)
• Must be able to multi-task

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Requires Culinary degree from an accredited culinary institute with a minimum two year experience in a quality dining establishment

Special Requirements:

• Must have the knowledge of basic culinary fundamentals.
• Must be able to communicate in and have a basic comprehension of the English language, or be enrolled in classes to enhance the ability to communicate in and comprehend English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or over time as needed.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers as needed.
• Should have an eye for detail.
• Must possess honesty and integrity.
• Must be courteous and tactful at all times towards club members, superiors, and co-workers.
• Must be innovative and look for areas that need improvement.
• Must have schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight (minimum of 20 lbs)
