Job Description - Pathfinder Branch Manager - Florida

What You Will Be Doing:


As Pathfinder Branch Manager you will be responsible to set the standard for customer satisfaction and for supporting the Perkins product in the field directly as a function of branch internal parts and service capabilities. You will be charged with the execution of branch and functional area business plans. You will also be responsible for overall branch financial performance, effectiveness of branch assets employed and staff acquisition and development in support of the overall Pathfinder Power Solutions strategic direction and organizational goals.  


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the financial performance of the branch that includes executing monthly and annual plans and targets.

  • Provide leadership direction to the branch parts and service departments.  Communicate and influence direct reports effectively to develop good working relationships and teamwork.

  • Communicate understanding and support of organizational goals.  Interact effectively with individuals and groups throughout the company.  Develop and maintain working relationships with departments and sister business units in order to improve overall company performance.  

  • Responsible for employee satisfaction utilizing turn-over metric, employee surveys and developing action plans.

  • Aligns, partners, and collaborates with assigned HR representative to proactively manage staffing, hiring and administering discipline, workforce development, employee communication, employee relations and support / training and development through assigned Manager.

  • Maintain customer – both end-user and SLD, satisfaction with timely and accurate communication - interviews service customers, analyzes service needs and provides cost quotes, answers customer service questions, and prepares work orders.

  • Executes work schedule to meet work order commitments and assigns work to technicians through the Service Writer and monitors' progress.

  • Provides decision-making support to technicians in the analysis and resolution of service/parts problems.

  • Prepares/approves customer invoice for work performed.

  • Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) levels and date last labor applied to monitor effectiveness and efficiency of service billing processes.

  • Ensure the efficient operation of the internal parts operations monitoring the stocking levels in terms of parts availability percentages, numbers of emergency orders, line items stocked and order fulfilment to local retail customers and service team.

  • Elevate customer issues to the Director of Service when appropriate.

  • Responsible and accountable for maintaining and promoting a safe work environment.  Promote Safety First culture.  

  • Demonstrate and promote Company core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Quality and Customer Service.

  • Must be willing to visit customers and suppliers.  Must be able to work occasional weekends. 


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.


Who We Are Looking For:


To be successful in this position you should have 5+ years of experience supervising staff.  You should possess a detailed understanding of financial and operational metrics, as well as have the ability to impact them. The ability to provide direction and instruction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.


Education/Experience:


  • Associate's degree in business or related technical field.

  • Minimum five years of experience in supervising staff.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related technical field preferred.
