JOB SUMMARY:


The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for the completion of manual and system- driven inspections aimed at measuring Quality Assurance across all Patient Access functions.  The auditor has responsibility for preparing reports to communicate results and findings to the QA Coordinator. 


 


SCHEDULE:


FT, 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Completes quality assurance inspections as required, ensuring standardization and compliance with established policies and procedures and applicable regulations. 

  • Understands policies and procedures and utilizes them for daily QA duties.

  • Assists in training and performance improvements in the evaluation of quality assessment outcomes to improve individual and team performance.

  • Provides monitoring and feedback to QA Coordinator. 

  • Cross trains in all areas of Patient Access Department to develop a knowledge base to benefit the education program. 

  • Able to assist in staffing as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.



     


    EDUCATION:



    • High school diploma or its equivalent.


     


    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:



    • A minimum of two years Hospital or medical office experience in Patient Access areas. Billing and Revenue knowledge a plus.

    • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be motivated and enthusiastic with an exceptional eye for detail and process improvement. 

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. 

    • Ability to speak up and challenge current processes, identify improvement opportunities and carry them through execution. 

    • Must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to detect errors and discrepancies. 

    • Must have proficient computer skills and be able to use the various systems utilized by OSS Health.  Previous experience with Medent or CPSI a plus.

    • Must have the ability to work efficiently, independently and prioritize tasks.

    • Must understand the procedures associated with a variety of health insurance plans.

    • Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulatory and compliance requirements.
