Patient Access Rep

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating patient access to healthcare services, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing a welcoming environment.
• Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accurate registration.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
• Address patient inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient access.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with billing and payment processes as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive situations with empathy.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
