Day-to-Day
An employer is looking for a Patient Access Representative within a call center environment in the Beverly Hills, CA area. This person will be responsible for handling about 50+ calls per day for multiple primary care/internal medicine offices across Southern California. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones, triaging patients, providing directions/parking instructions, contacting clinic facility to notify if a patient is running late, scheduling and rescheduling patients' appointments, verifying insurances, and assisting with referrals/follow up care. This position is fully on-site until fully trained and passing multiple assessments (typically around 3 months of working - depending on performance) where it can then go remote.
Must-haves
-HS Diploma
-1+ years call center experience (with an average time of 5 minutes or less on calls)
-Experience in the healthcare industry
-Experience scheduling appointments
-50+ WPM typing speed
Pluses
-Proficient in Epic software
-Experience verifying insurances
-Basic experience with Excel and standard workbooks
