Patient Access Specialist Lead - Clinics (40 hours per week) #3275

RAMC is looking for a Lead Patient Access Specialist to join our growing team! 

Schedule: 
Monday - Friday 

Times Vary from 7 AM-7 PM 

Weekends: As Needed 

Position Summary: The Patient Access Services Lead coordinates and arranges for the efficient and orderly registration and scheduling of patients throughout the medical center clinics, including Physician Group Clinic as well as Specialty Group Clinic, and serves as an immediate lead for the staff. 




Education and Training Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a hospital or other medical environment is preferred.


• Previous Patient Registration experience preferred
  

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Good organizational skills.

• Good time management skills and can prioritize tasks.

• Excellent hand written and oral communication skills, grammar, punctuation, and style.

• Ability to use the following equipment: personal computer, fax machine, photocopier.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Resourceful; Is aware and utilizes the resources that are available.

• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations in a calm manner.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Reception and/or switchboard experience.

Physical Requirements: 

• Continuously sits at desk.


• Frequently stands to preform tasks.


• Occasionally lifts up to 10 pounds.


• Frequently reaches in front of body to preform tasks.


• Frequently handles objects such as pencils, staple pullers, staplers, etc. to preform duties.
