Patient Account Specialist

ICAN is a multidisciplinary clinic with the vision of a commitment to the best hope and future for children and families affected by autism around the world. We are located in the city of Bellevue, Washington and serve individuals with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders from birth to 13 years of age. Our team consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Behavior Technicians, Mental Health Therapists, and more. In our years of operation, we have provided services to over 2,200 families all while maintaining no waitlists for services to meet the need of our community. Responsibilities and Duties 

• Billing review for accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes 


• Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise 

• Collaborate with physicians and other parties to clarify information 


• Initiates, manages, and communicates authorizations and benefits checks 


• Cost estimation and communication of cost and benefit information 


• Re-check benefits and update account information as needed 


• Complete time-of-service (TOS) collection report and audit 

• Run Statements 


• Able to monitor and manage AR (including copays, deductibles, and payments) 


• Respond to patient account inquiries 


• Complete electronic and manual posting of all payments 


• Correct or resolve denials of claims as needed 

• Retrieve explanation of benefits (EOB's) when necessary, from Provider sites 

Position Qualifications: What you bring to the Team

• Minimum Associates degree preferred


• CMSC preferred
  


• Highly organized with attention to detail
