Job Summary

Follows-up on government-related claims and monitors pertinent government regulatory changes and special projects as assigned.



Essential Functions

• Monitors regulatory changes for federal payers and alerts management of pertinent changes.


• Follows up with claims by telephone or online inquiry and creates appropriate correspondence, including appeal generation.


• Identifies and analyzes government payor trends, as well as potential payment issues. Reports findings to leadership.

Physical Requirements

Work requires concentration, sitting, flexibility, and bending. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally.



Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. 2 to 4 years insurance follow up experience preferred. IDX experience preferred. Knowledge of government agencies and insurance coverage required. Patient account experience preferred.
