Description
Under the direction of the Clinical Operations Manager, the Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations by calling and confirming patient appointments three days in advance. This position involves direct communication with patients to provide appointment details, handle rescheduling, and address basic inquiries. The role requires strong organizational and customer service sills to reduce no-show rates and deliver a positive patient experience.
· Contacting patients by phone to confirm, cancel or reschedule appointments to reduce no show rates and ensure efficient use of clinic’s time slots.
· Provides friendly customer service, addresses any appointment concerns and ensures a positive patient experience.
· Communicates with medical staff to notify of any last-minute cancellations.
· Updates schedules with cancellations, reschedules or new appointments.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Ability to communicate with diverse groups of people, to include staff and providers.
· Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, and attention to detail skills.
· Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
· CPR Certification, required.
· LFMC required training Including, but not limited to: basic Annual Safety, Anti-harassment, HIPAA Training;
· Basic Knowledge and ability of general office procedures including filing, copying, faxing, use of a computer, to multitask within established deadlines, work under the direction of a supervisor and follow instructions for work completion, and take initiative to resolve patient concerns and problems;
· Fluent in both English and Spanish, required.
