Patient Care Coordinator
Nurocoach
Job Summary:
The Patient Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of patient care activities. We are looking for a candidate with a STRONG focus on providing exceptional front desk customer service. As a mental health practice, the manner in which our patients are greeted- in person and on the phone - is paramount. In fact, hospitality experience is preferred (but not required).
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform duties related to patient care under the direct supervision of clinical management.
- Responsible for coordinating and maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with EMR guidelines.
- Responsible for coordinating and maintaining accurate electronic medical record in accordance with EMR guidelines.
- Responsible for answering the phones, verifying patient insurance and collecting copays.
- Responsible for checking patient's in and out and rescheduling appointments.
- Can assist with taking and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Can assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments when needed.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as applicable.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for performing other duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and be willing to use personal vehicle on business occasions.
Compensation based on experience and education level.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
