Gastroenterology PCR
The Gastroenterology Department of MFM Health is seeking enthusiastic candidates for our hybrid, full-time Patient Care Representative (PCR) and administrative support role. We are a busy, ambulatory care office diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases, looking for a well-rounded customer service candidate who can multi-task in a high-volume, ambulatory setting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities This position requires excellent communication, computer, and phone skills with the ability to multi-task. Medical experience, Electronic Medical Record (EMR). scheduling, and Call Center experience are highly desirable.
Registering and scheduling patients, data entry of demographics, and insurance information
Verify patient insurance eligibility
Maintain appointment computer scheduling in accordance with office scheduling policies. Including procedure scheduling
Manage calls from patients requiring medical care and provide/gather information needed
Escalate questions/issues to appropriate resources as needed
Ability to summarize patient request(s) and convey information to respective medical care providers/teams
Understand various aspects of medical insurance to provide patients with accurate answers
Input referral information accordingly
Scheduling diagnostic tests/follow-up appointments for patients
Obtaining prior authorizations for diagnostic tests
Interacting with other health care providers/facilities to make sure information flows efficiently
Provide excellent customer service
Understand, maintain, and enforce HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protocols
Other duties as assigned by managers and leads
Qualifications
2 years of experience working in an ambulatory/out-patient practice preferred
Gastroenterology experience preferred
High School diploma preferred
Dependable, hardworking. detail-oriented, and friendly candidates desired
Pay Range
$20-$24 per hour
