Patient Care Specialist

Tactical Rehab is seeking compassionate, motivated, and service-oriented individuals to join our growing team as a Patient Care Specialist I (PCS1). As a Patient Care Specialist, you will work directly with patients, assisting with medical equipment fittings, patient education, scheduling, and customer service. If you enjoy helping others, thrive in a team environment, and are committed to providing exceptional care, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with fitting and proper use of medical equipment.
• Process patient equipment orders and maintain accurate documentation.
• Schedule appointments and provide outstanding customer service.
• Educate patients on equipment use, care, and maintenance.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Support inventory management and office operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to work closely with patients in a clinical setting

Preferred:

• Associate degree
• Healthcare, rehabilitation, fitness, medical office, or retail experience
• Military service, military spouse, or familiarity with military communities

Compensation

$18.00–$28.00 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and location.

· Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS): $750 

· Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF): $750 

· Certified Pedorthist (CPED): $1,200 

· Certified Prosthetic Practice Manager (CPPM): $1,200 

· Human Resources Certification (HRCI or SHRM): $1,200

Ongoing Certification Stipends 

Paid each pay period while certification remains active 

Employees who maintain an active certification will receive the following stipend each  pay period:

• Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF): $86.67 per pay period 
• Certified Prosthetic Practice Manager (CPPM): $86.67 per pay      period 
• Human Resources Certification (HRCI or SHRM): $86.67 per pay      period 
• Certified Pedorthist (CPED): $173.34 per pay period
