Patient Care Tech (PCT) / Inpatient Trauma Unit

1. Performs and documents patient care skills completely and efficiently as delegated by the nurse upon verification of PCT competence. 2. Makes appropriate notifications regarding abnormal findings. 3. Promptly answers calls, responds to the needs of patients, visitors and/or family members and relays information/requests to appropriate person(s). 4. Appropriately secures and handles supplies/medications/lab specimens transported into/within unit. 5. Assists with the location and management of patient property. Certification: Current Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer BLS CPR certification required at time of hire. Licensure: N/A - Nurse Aide training course (CNA) within the last 5 years - Valid STNA Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor - 6 months Direct Patient Care experience within the last 12 months - Experience in an Acute Care Setting within the last 6 months - Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of at least one clinical rotation
