Patient Dressing Room Assistant - Women's Imaging Center

Description

We are seeking a Patient Dressing Room Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be friendly and personable, and able to stand or walk up to 8 hours per day. This is a full time, benefits eligible position working Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

This position includes:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Escort patients from the waiting area to the dressing room.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to patients regarding changing into appropriate attire.
• Ensure patient privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.
• Assist patients who may need physical support or guidance while walking to the dressing room.
• Respond promptly to any patient needs or concerns during their time in the dressing room area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dressing room area, ensuring adequate supply of gowns and other necessary items.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff and other team members to coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

High school degree or equivalent.  

EXPERIENCE:  

Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Computer experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Friendly and upbeat personality.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours each day.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
• Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
• Physical ability to assist patients who require mobility support.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Standing and walking for long periods of time. Occasional stress related to dealing with patient problems and workload. Light lifting (less than 10 pounds). Requires use of office equipment.  

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office setting, well lit and ventilated. Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
