Job Description - Patient Financial Services (Full Time)


Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Full Time Position 

Job Title: Patient Financial Services

Department: Business Office

Reports To: Business Office Manager

Position Summary:

To communicate professionally with patients and families during the admission process. Answer multiline phone and transfer calls to appropriate departments. Assist patient and families with directions throughout the hospital, answering any questions they might have. Collect insurance information and payments.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Good organization/time management skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Mathematical ability at a level necessary to accomplish job
  • Ability to quickly analyze billing problems and make appropriate corrections
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications such as Word, Excel and 10 key
