Position Classification: Exempt



Job Summary:


This role manages daily operations and a multi-functional team to ensure timely processing, high throughput, and the achievement of key performance goals. The leader oversees staffing, performance management, compliance (HIPAA, wage and hour, company policy, payer rules), and process improvements to drive operational efficiency and positive receivables outcomes. 


Responsibilities:



  • Operations & Workflow: Manage daily processes, schedule distribution, and report metrics to optimize throughput and meet service level goals. 

  • Team Leadership & Staffing: Directs assigned team plus temporary/third-party associates; oversee hiring, onboarding, work direction, and employee engagement. 

  • Performance & Compliance: Handle time/attendance, policy enforcement, corrective actions, and staff development while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, legal standards, and payer requirements. 

  • Communication & Improvement: Lead team meetings, monitor quality, and implement process and technology enhancements to drive efficiency and team engagement. 

  • Quality & Performance: Monitor productivity through performance systems, provide timely coaching, address QA trends/deficiencies, and implement corrective measures to maximize quality and consistency.

  • Continuous Improvement & Tech: Analyze operational data to recommend and lead the rollout of new technology and process enhancements, specifically driving initiatives in the receivables area.

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, payer requirements, and company policies, promptly reporting security incidents and supporting compliance action plans.



Qualifications:



  • Education:



  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field. 




  • Experience:



  • Minimum of 6 years in medical billing or healthcare finance. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of managerial or supervisory leadership experience, with a proven ability to motivate diverse teams.
