NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups (NYPMG) are part of the physician enterprise of NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health care delivery systems affiliated with two world-renowned medical schools.  Through primary care and multispecialty medical practices, the physicians and other health care professionals of NYPMG, in collaboration with Columbia Doctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home in the New York metropolitan area.

Responsible for registering, scheduling and obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients to ensure payment from a third party payer.

Patient Registrar Surgical – NYP Hudson Valley Medical Group - Day

This is a full time-40 hour per week schedule of Monday through Friday with varied hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM) position located at 1756 Route 9D, Cold Spring, NY and 1978 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY (locations depending on schedule) Overtime as needed. Travel will be required to both locations as well as for coverage to all Hudson Valley Medical group locations when needed.

Preferred Criteria:

• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements

• Knowledge of coding

• Bilingual- English and Spanish speaking candidate preferred

Required Criteria:

• 1+ years of clerical experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
