Job Description - Patient Safety & Quality Specialist (RN)

The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading healthcare system in Helena, Montana to identify a Patient Safety Specialist. This is a high -impact role focused on driving patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory excellence across the organization. 

Position Overview

The Patient Safety Specialist will lead and support initiatives that reduce risk, improve outcomes, and strengthen safety culture. This individual will serve as a key liaison across clinical teams, driving collaboration and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead patient safety and quality improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Manage and optimize safety event reporting systems
  • Conduct root cause analyses and drive follow -up actions
  • Analyze data to identify trends and implement preventative strategies
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and leadership to improve clinical processes and outcomes
  • Provide training and guidance on patient safety best practices
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in patient safety, quality, or clinical healthcare settings
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory/accreditation standards (CMS, DNV, etc.)
  • Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred or required within 24 months
