Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Patient Service Representative to join a Tulsa-based medical practice on a temporary basis. This role is essential to the front office team, performing reception, registration, and billing functions to support the delivery of patient care. The Patient Service Representative will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform scheduling, registration, and billing tasks accurately.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay balances according to policies.
• Use the EMR system and computer applications to maintain records and documentation.
• Maintain provider schedules, track referrals, and obtain authorizations for services.
• Process payments, prepare receipts, and balance cash drawers daily.
• Support physicians and staff by communicating schedule changes and patient updates.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and OSHA.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of related experience in healthcare or office administration.
• Strong PC and data entry skills with experience using medical office software.
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery and billing processes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to accurately record and interpret data while prioritizing tasks effectively.
