Responsibilities

Providence Medical Center is looking for a full time Patient Services Rep to join our growing and dynamic Cardiology Clinic!

The Patient Services Representative duties include, but are not limited to:

interviews the patient or his/her representative to obtain identifying and basic demographics to prep for upcoming visits

schedules patients in their clinic and assists with scheduling them in others

verifies insurance coverage, collects co-pays and prior balances from patients, reconciles and prepares deposits, and troubleshoots billing issues

greets and checks in patients

handles all incoming phone calls and routes to appropriate staff or initiates message

coordinates clinic business processes such as supply ordering, sales calls, record release, fax and mail processing

this is a full time day shift position - 8:00a - 4:30p

Must be able to:

operate a computer to accurately input and retrieve data

communicate with the population served, staff, and providers utilizing age specific techniques

address customer inquiries, resolve customer complaints

maintain proficiency in medical terminology

project a positive and helpful attitude

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

previous experience in a medical setting, preferred

knowledge of medical terminology, preferred

Customer Service experience, preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent
