Sonic Automotive is seeking a proactive Payment Program Administrator to oversee our electronic payment platform and drive supplier engagement. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing program optimization.

• Collaborate with the payment program providers (Coupa and Bank of America) to create and execute campaigns to increase supplier enrollment and engagement.
• Convert existing virtual card suppliers to the new electronic payment platform.
• Develop training resources and conduct sessions for internal teams and suppliers to ensure effective use of the platform.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure their ongoing participation in the program.
• Act as the main point of contact for program-related inquiries, providing exceptional support to both suppliers and internal teams.
• Maintain and update supplier payment account information and records.
• Regularly update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Improve program efficiency by maintaining a knowledge base of common questions and solutions.
• Ensure adherence to compliance standards, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley).
• Troubleshoot and resolve payment exceptions, such as duplicates and discrepancies.
• Analyze program data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports for senior management on program performance, supplier participation, and financial outcomes.
• Test and validate system updates to ensure alignment with program needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to virtual payments.
• Suggest innovative solutions to enhance the virtual payment program.
Minimum Qualifications-
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and a continuous improvement mindset.
Desired Experience
• Experience in supplier enablement, product management, or a related role in fintech or payments.
• Familiarity with the Coupa Source to Pay platform.
• Experience in the retail automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of virtual card solutions and electronic payment systems.
• Experience with a large scale project rollout
• Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation skills.
