As the Payments Specialist, you will support our member service teams and members by performing tasks necessary to complete various ACH, draft, ATM/debit, credit card functions, and all other related back-office functions.

Payments Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following -

• Various responsibilities include but may not be limited to ACH processing, share draft processing, member payroll processing, ACH dispute resolution follow-up, return deposit items, mobile deposit, payment-related research, daily dispute processing, daily card file processing, rewards maintenance, quarterly Visa reporting, credit balance transfers, reconcile out of balance cards, compromised card maintenance.
• Monitor day-to-day payment activity through the review of relevant network reports. Analyze data and report areas of concern.
• Prepare and maintain proper documentation to meet all risk assessment and audit requirements.
• Knowledge and adherence to the processes, procedures, and regulations specific to the job responsibilities that have been assigned.
• Responsible for accurate preparation of vouchers, reports, and other records.
• Research and recommend efficiencies and improvements to payments operations.
• Assist with monitoring and evaluating processor relationships to ensure optimal performance of payment programs.
• Assist staff with payment-related inquiries, projects, campaigns, and portfolio analysis.
• Assist and support other back-office personnel and staff, ensuring a cohesive and responsive team in addressing and resolving payment-related issues.

Payments Specialist Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, analytical, dependable self-starter who thrives on detailed innovation! The preferred professional will have excellent oral and written communication skills and above-average mathematical and computer talents.

Requirements

Payments Specialist Qualifications: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
