About the Role:

The role of Payroll and Benefits Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as overseeing the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans, while serving as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries. Additionally, responsibilities include compliance reporting, documentation and recordkeeping, vendor management, workers' compensation administration, support during new hire orientations, and completion of assigned tasks with diligence and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Administration:
    1. Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
    2. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
    3. Maintain payroll records and employee information in the payroll system.
    4. Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Benefits and Perks Administration:
    1. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
    2. Coordinate open enrollment periods and provide support to employees during the enrollment process.
    3. Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related questions and issues.
    4. Work with benefits providers to resolve claims and ensure timely processing.
    5. Order and Manage company Merch (Swag) and Supply orders at HQ
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    1. Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies, such as tax filings and compliance reports.
    2. Assist with audits related to payroll, benefits, and any additional processes.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping:
    1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including payroll information, benefits enrollment forms, and additional documents.
    2. Ensure compliance with document retention policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management:
    1. Serve as a liaison with vendors such as P-FLEET, Verizon Connect, and others.
    2. Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to payroll and benefits services.
    3. Coordinate services and resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors.
  • Workers' Compensation Administration:
    1. Assist in preparation of workers' compensation claims.
    2. Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and regulations.
    3. Work with insurance providers and claims adjusters to process claims efficiently.
  • Support New Hire Orientation:
    1. Provide support as an instructor when needed for new hires.
    2. Ensure new hires have the necessary information and resources to navigate payroll and benefits systems effectively.
    3. Ensure New Hires are accurately Hired into the ADP Workforce Now System
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent education, required.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role
  • Must have experience within ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience working with accounting and payroll software.
  • Knowledge required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems.
  • Proficient in standard Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, SharePoint,
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop interpersonal relationships with employees at all company levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
