YOUR PURPOSE:   The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting employee satisfaction and operational integrity through accurate compensation and recordkeeping. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system 
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
• Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with managers
• Process garnishments, deductions, and other adjustments as needed
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to accounting and management
• Respond to employee questions and concerns related to payroll
• Assist with end-of-year reporting, including W-2s and tax filings
• Support HR and accounting teams with related administrative tasks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1+ year of payroll or accounting experience (experience with R365, Paylocity, or similar systems is a plus)
• Knowledge of payroll and employment laws
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
