Job Duties
- Process direct deposits, salary changes, terminations, wage garnishments, employee verifications.
- Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding all payroll matters.
- Collaborate across departments/teams to ensure accurate data and reporting.
- Collect, verify, and resolve timecard discrepancies.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Assist with audits and generate payroll reports as needed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Previous experience in payroll or accounting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with UKG payroll software preferred.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of wage withholding orders preferred
- Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask in an environment with specific deadlines.
