Payroll Clerk - Dynamic Team

Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Allendale, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing: Prepare, import, process, and meticulously review payroll data to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Payment Distribution: Create direct deposit files and efficiently distribute paychecks, demonstrating a commitment to precision and confidentiality.

• Documentation Maintenance: Maintain organized documentation and generate insightful reports to facilitate smooth operations and compliance.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and expertise.

• Collaborative Work: Collaborate closely with the Payroll team and other departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and efficiency.

• Reliability and Dedication: Demonstrate reliability and dedication in handling payroll responsibilities from start to finish, ensuring consistency and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Software Proficiency: Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word), with advanced Excel skills preferred.

• Mathematical Aptitude: Possess advanced math skills and analytical abilities, capable of accurate financial calculations and percentage analysis.

• Attention to Detail: Exhibit keen attention to detail, ensuring precision and correctness in all payroll-related tasks.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful troubleshooter with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with individuals at all levels and departments.

• Management Skills: Ability to manage people effectively, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll information.

• Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on payroll experience preferred, with experience in high-volume, multi-state payroll processing advantageous.Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements preferred.

• Initiative and Independence: Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.

• Time Management: Capable of working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently.

• Multitasking: Able to multitask, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

• Industry Experience: Experience in restaurant or hospitality industry considered a plus.

• Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency considered advantageous.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
