Position Summary: The Driver Pay Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of driver compensation, maintaining payroll records, and resolving payment discrepancies. This role requires close collaboration with drivers, payroll teams, and operations personnel to manage pay structures, address inquiries, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately calculate and process driver pay, including hourly wages, mileage rates, bonuses, and reimbursements.
Ensure payroll data is entered and updated in the payroll system correctly.
Review trip reports, logs, and time sheets to validate payment details.
Ensure all payments comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including adjustments, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Prepare reports for audits or management reviews.
Respond promptly to driver inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, deductions, and benefits.
Provide guidance on payroll policies and ensure drivers understand payment structures.
Investigate and resolve pay disputes in a timely manner.
Work closely with dispatchers, fleet managers, and HR to address pay-related issues.
Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of payroll expenses.
Communicate changes in pay policies or regulations to drivers and relevant teams.
Identify inefficiencies in payroll processes and recommend improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in driver compensation.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or transportation/logistics is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
