Description:
CPA firm currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator for their Administrative (headquarters) office, located in Seattle, WA. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the payroll function, including maintaining the payroll database with precision and attention to detail and processing payroll for 2,000+ employees and Partners.
Responsibilities:
Processes new hires, terminations, and status changes in the payroll database
Assists with quarterly payroll tax processing
Prepares payroll for two Moss Adams subsidiary companies
Maintains the payroll database with demographic changes, payroll deductions, W-4 elections, direct deposit changes, etc.
New hire reporting to 5 states
Prepares paid time off (PTO) reports for all offices
Generates payroll registers for all offices
Audits time entry for completeness and accuracy before payroll processing
Assists with leave of absence calculations and processing
Processes United Way payroll deductions including monthly reconciliation and payment
Assists with Partner draws, including incorporated partner accounting and quarterly tax preparation for corporations
Completes verification of employment requests
Assists with unemployment audit requests and monitors unemployment claims, requesting relief of charges when appropriate
Assists with 401(k), profit sharing, and benefits administration
Year-end W-2 processing
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree required
Minimum 1 year of related financial (A/P, A/R, payroll, etc) experience
Prior experience in a professional service firm preferred
Experience with Great Plains software preferred
Advanced computer and analytical skills, including Microsoft Office products. Demonstrate proficiency in Excel including ability to create and troubleshoot complex spreadsheets.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail required
Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Able to demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in all areas of responsibility
Work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Ability to complete tasks on time with accuracy and strong attention to detail
Ability to interact with people at all levels
Excellent organizational skills
Outstanding customer service (internal and external)
Excellent written and verb
