Payroll Generalist (Temp)

We are seeking a temp that is detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Generalist to join our team. With a pay range of $25-$27. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of payroll, and administrative duties to support the payroll function. The ideal candidate will have recent experience with Workday and be strong proficient in Workday. Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) experience, and a solid understanding of payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and audit payroll using Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  

• Knowledge of garnishments, including child support, tax levies, and any other garnishments.
  

• Prepare and review payroll audit reports and other periodic reports related to earnings, taxes, and deductions.
  

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely and efficient manner.
  

• Provide accurate and timely responses to employee payroll-related inquiries and concerns
  

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accuracy of payroll data and deductions
  

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee payroll information
  

• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Recent experience with Workday payroll system is required
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus
  

• Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  

• Ability to focus on numerical and financial data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  

• Experience handling confidential payroll data and maintaining discretion
  

• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
